Backlinks are very important to your site if you want to get higher rankings with Google and other search engines. For those of you new to all of this, backlinks are links from another site to yours. It could be from a website, blog, social media, squidoo lens, a social bookmark, in a press release, etc.
There are many ways to create backlinks, you can go to blogs and comment and put a link to your site, you can email and ask site owners to put links, you can buy links, though not advised, and you can use services such as Linkvana which we recently started using.
When it comes to the content to build your backlinks I recommend you outsource some of it, otherwise you will most likely only put out a small amount of content before you stall, if you are like me that is. Linkvana has an outsourcing option and we also recommend textbroker.com.
Like everything else these days, there is a lot of talk, chatter, and blah blah blah all over the internet about Niche Marketing. How to find a niche, micro niches, tools to use to find a niche, how to build your niche….you get the picture.
From my research they all seem to say the same thing just in different words, pictures, and even different accents on the videos. Most of them assume you know something about internet marketing and use jargon and terms that will get most people confused in a hurry.
Niche Marketing is simply finding a small market on the internet that people are searching for, putting up a blog or landing page that will rank for search terms, and then when people show up at your site you sell them something, like an ebook, or have them click on a link such as an AD.
The key is that people are searching for your topic, if people are not searching for it then it is a waste of your time. Unless you just want to put something up for the love of it, not to make any money, which I totally understand, and I have done.
The reason it is called a niche is because it needs to be super-focused and is usually relatively small market. Automobiles is a huge market with lots of competitors, Toyota Automobiles is a little more specific, Toyota Prius Replacement Batteries could be a good niche depending if people are searching for it which we will show you how.
