Backlinks are very important to your site if you want to get higher rankings with Google and other search engines. For those of you new to all of this, backlinks are links from another site to yours. It could be from a website, blog, social media, squidoo lens, a social bookmark, in a press release, etc.

There are many ways to create backlinks, you can go to blogs and comment and put a link to your site, you can email and ask site owners to put links, you can buy links, though not advised, and you can use services such as Linkvana which we recently started using.
